I am an X-City Slicker turned Milk Maid Supreme. My husband, Farmer Bob, took our four kids and I from the City to live in the country. We've lived here longer than we've lived anywhere in our married lives and, so far, we love it!!! I may not milk a cow (even so, I will always be Milk Maid Supreme!) or take care of chickens anymore but the farm still keeps us very busy. Unfortunatly, fresh air, sunshine, and a clear view of the stars each night aren't enough to keep my foot out of my mouth on a regular basis (so reader beware!). You can't have everything!
God gave me two things that anchor me and keep me from floating away. One is the gospel and the other is this marvelous man. Yes, he truely is marvelous.
Butterfly Personified
Our first born who is gorgeous, funny, responsible, creative, and one of the most caring and thoughtful people I have ever met. She floats around the house from one spot to the next, hardly ever sitting still, thinking of all the adventures she can have on paper. I hope that one day she can have a superb adventure.
Dash
Our second born who is impetuous, hilarious, spontanieous, and any other wonderful 'ous' words you can think of. He is actually the opposite of Dash but we hope that if we keep calling him by that name one day it will sink in. He likes things a certain way but he is in no hurry to get it done. He is totally awesome and loves his Mother. What more could I ask for?
Princess Buttercup
Our third born who is carefree, brave, sassy and sweet at very drastic turns sometimes, very polite, and loves to play in the mud right along with the next kid. BUT, she does it all in a dress, painted finger nails, and princess high heel shoes. When she's all done with a hard days play she manages to look beautiful no matter what.
Hulk
Our fourth and last born who loves to be tickled, to watch T.V., to wrap up in his favorite blanket, to rip things apart and undress himself (hence the name "Hulk"), and to eat. Especially the last one! He is squishy, and huggable, and all of us really adore him.
Movie of the Month - To view or NOT to view...that is the question
This month is Dear John. I know, I know, it's been out for a long time but I know a lot of people who have wondered if they want to see it or not because the author has a reputation for having things end badly. Who wants to cry? Not I, I say. But holy crow! It was worth it. The alternate ending stunk but you don't have to watch that. Loved the movie! It's a must see.
Book of the Month - To read or NOT to read...is that even a question?
Thank you Kamille for referring this one! It is 'Gurensey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society'. The book is a fictional cluster of letters between a group of people that discuss the Ocupation of the Channel Islands during WWII. It has loads of quips that are hilarious but it is also harsh in some spot. All in all, a VERY good read!
